Study Material: II Chronicles 15:7
7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
The Bible tells us not to have a weak heart because our labour would be rewarded. Having a weak heart is about losing hope. Many people labour their entire lives and feel like all of their work was in vain. They build families, but the spouses and children seem to be going off in different directions and leaving them feeling alone. They help to build organizations and institutions that seem to abandon them when they need them the most. Many people feel that they work their entire lives to give to others and nobody gives them exactly what they need. Many have weak hearts in this regard.
But Jesus tells us in John 14:1-3, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. He tells us that we should not lose hope because our labour is not in vain. He left to go and prepare our reward; and we will receive it if we remain hopeful and strong in Him.
Do not feel hopeless or weak-hearted. God sees you and knows you. He will also help you. There is hope for you because your labour, your sweat, your tears and hurts are not in vain. God will reward you.
God bless you.
