Today’s Teaching:
The e-TeachIt family consists of students, homemakers, widows, handicapped, lawyers, doctors, teachers, development workers, Pastors, deacons, new babies in the Lord, avid church goers and those who say that churches have failed them. There is a wide range of readership, all of us struggling at various levels to get closer to Christ. No matter how close you are, you can always get closer. That process requires courage. Courage is required if we want to make heaven. Only Godly courage can enable us to do what is right amidst our fears.
During the week, we studied the courage of Esther who went from slave to queen; and saved her people (Esther 2-7). Ehud went from obscurity known only as a left-handed man, to being the deliverer of Israel (Jud 3:1-31). Shiphrah and Puah went from being ordinary midwives to being deliverers of a nation, saving the reproductive ability of Israel (Ex 1:15-21). Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego went from being three ordinary Hebrew boys to being the ones who survived through fire and never lost a hair. All of these people demonstrated courage in standing up against evil; and because of their courage, we refer to them for strength. May others look at your courage and gain strength.
No matter how much courage you have exhibited to get to where you are today, you need to muster up more courage to go to your next level. Nobody can have the Holy Spirit and remain in obscurity. May the spirit of boldness and bravery overcome you to a degree that enables you to say NO when necessary and YES as required. May the courage needed for you to fulfill your destiny be given to you a thousand fold in Jesus’ name.
Homework: In the name of Jesus, pray and ask God to give you the courage that you need for today, the courage needed for this new week that He blessed you to see, and the courage needed for the rest of your life on earth.
God bless you!!
